This scrub is one of my favorite DIYs. It’s super cost-effective, it smells great, and most importantly, it works!
This is a perfect hack for a last-minute body treatment. The granulated sugar provides a mild exfoliation perfect for the body. The honey acts as as a humectant, sealing moisture into the skin along with the coconut oil.
It also makes a great gift! Just put it in a mason jar and wrap with a ribbon. It is shelf-stable and all-natural.
The Vitamin E oil helps strengthen the skin’s natural barrier. Vitamin E oil has also been shown to reduce the appearance of scars. You can buy Vitamin E oil or you can use the contents of Vitamin E dietary supplements, like I did. Just give each capsule a snip with a pair of scissors and squeeze the oily goodness directly into your scrub mixture.
If you do not have Vitamin E, no worries! The scrub will still work very well.
The scent of lavender has amazing calming effect. Perfect for an in-shower spa experience. You can buy dried lavender in many grocery stores as well as online.
